New dress!!

Arabelle here! Take a look at it!! I'm in love! It's an emerald sort of green, with a shade of the same color underneath for the slip. I really wanted to wear heels with it, and the brown ones, while I love them dearly, are the only ones I have in my dorm at the moment. So boho I went!

I liked the red purse because red and green are complimentary colors, and thus make each other pop (which is a good point, actually. If you want a piece you're wearing to stand out, be sure to wear its compliment. Find the color you want accented on the wheel, or the closest version you can find, then find the color directly across the color wheel, and that's its accent. For example, red/green, violet/yellow, red-violet/yellow-green, etc.).

First outfit and makeup!

Last week Emberlyyn and I and a couple other friends decided to have a beauty/ dress up night! My makeup was done by a friend with the Perfect Twelve Colors eye shadow palette (bright blue, navy blue, white, black, pewter), Maybelline Lash Stiletto, and CoverGirl Lipslicks in Flirtatious. For my hair all I used was Garnier Nutrisse de-frizz oil. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, so I can't use too much or else I run the risk of making it really stringy. I only use about 1/4 of a pump per handful of hair.

Arabelle here!

All my classes are great. Already staying up until 2 am because I'm dumb, not even because of work. For color theory we have to make a color wheel and my idea is so cute but the execution...I dunno. It's not turning out as well as I thought. I'm using a cityscape, where the primary colors are the biggest buildings, secondary colors medium sized, etc. They're going to be 3-D in the sense that I'm going to make them varying levels off the page. But the actual application of the colors sucks. I get them perfect on the palette and once they're on the paper they're too bright. But whatevs.

Haven't been trying super hard to be fashionable, but I did try out the thing where you layer a bunch of bracelets on one arm, and I freaking love it, especially since I want to show off my new watch.

I should be writing a speech right now but I don't want to.

And drawing 2 is ok. Professor is nice but super boring. Oh well.

Artworks!

Arabelle here! I recently had the opportunity to ~possibly~ get my artwork published in a magazine and thought I would share the result with y'all. It represents my interpretation of the author of the article, who I have known for a little over a year and have personally worked with. The article, written by her, is about her as a single mother. Granted I can't relate to that personally, but I wanted to present what she appears like to me, and the lessons she can teach to her children, as well as what she represents herself.
