Arabelle here!

So yesterday was my birthday! This whole week has been wonderful, and I was lucky enough to attend the Nutcracker ballet at the Fox Theater! I got to get nice and dressed up, so I thought I would offer you Clowdies a peek at my outfit. Unfortunately I only have cell phone cameras, so none of the pics are worthy to be posted, but I will try to explain myself until I can at least lay it out.

I was excited to finally wear a red sweater dress I received last year for Christmas, but was never confident enough to wear because of my tummy. Sweater dresses require confidence, so if you don't feel completely amazing, don't wear it. You'll feel like poop the whole time you're in it; the clothes work for YOU, not you working for the clothes. Anyway, a sweater dress is amazingly versatile. Mine was cotton, but the wine red color made it totally appropriate for the occasion. Color works wonders, people; the right color can make a seemingly casual piece be appropriate for just about any occasion, typically darker colors (like wine or plum and of course black) and true neutrals (taupe or beige or brown).

I paired it with black, ~mostly opaque tights that reached my feet and black stilettos. By matching my tights to my shoes, my legs looked a million miles longer than they actually were. There's an amazing slimming power to not just your legs, but your entire body. It's wonderful.

I wore my hair up in a messy bun, like I usually do, but also to keep the elongation going. If I had decided to wear my hair down, it still would have looked pretty, but the effect would have stopped just below my shoulders and made my torso seem a bit shorter.

Much respect,
Arabelle

Introduction Time!

Hello Clowdies!

Your fearless leader, Emberlyyn, has entrusted me as a second author/contributor! I am Anabelle, and I will be bringing you OOTDs and fashion advice.

Some basic info about me:
-I'm a fellow SCAD student! It's truly an amazing school. I may even post some of my work. And I will give art advice if you ask nicely ;)
-I'm 5'3" and got some curve. I've struggled with my weight and insecurity for years, and I've recently found a place I'm happy with.
-I'm pretty crafty. I make my own greeting cards, and am trying to get into candle making.
-I definitely prefer to wear minimal makeup i.e. foundation, concealer, blush, lip balm. However, I do like to get dressed up every once in a while and am getting the hang of eyeshadow combos. I'll leave the majority of the makeup advice to Emberlyyn, though.

I'm open to ideas on fashion, makeup, crafts, whatever! If you want either I or Emberlyyn to let other Clowdians know of your sparks of genius, just send a message!

I'm so glad to be a part of SourClowd!
Much respect,
Anabelle

I'm off hiatus Cloudies! WOOOT.

Finally finally, i have the will power to blog~

Lemme update you.
SCAD is amazing. (The Trustees theater)

The food is fantasmic!

This is beef stew from Bistro night. YUM. They have Bon Apetit caterers, not that sodexco bull crap they used to serve. All natrual and fresh ingredients, all cooked, not frozen. It's SPLENDID.

The education is tops, but lemme tell you, art school is no joke. I kinda knew that, but you just don't KNOW until you're there. The talent bar is raised so high, you might end up being discouraged, but you have to remeber that you're at college to learn!

This is my final exam for Drawing 1:

I barely made any friends because my time management was so terrible, and i'm really shy and quiet when i don't know anybody.
But, there were cool events that happened at scad where you could dress up and you just had fun!
The first was The Gender Bender Ball, which was hosted by The Queers & Allies Club at SCAD where you dressed up in the opposite gender or any costume you wanted. I turned into ashton, and i never knew it took so much makeup to turn into a boy! ;-; SO MUCH MAKEUP:

All my friends disapproved. lol
And we had the Masquarade Ball, which was like a SCAD prom near halloween and so i dressed up as a Zombie using toliet paper, glue, fake blood and eyeshadow. lol I might make a youtube video on this!

But~

My first college quarter is finished! :D
I'm so extra happy! But this break is so extra long and i'm SO bored.

I saw my mommy after her cancer surgery, and she looked feeble at first, she had a tube and everything, but now she's herself again and i can actually have proper conversations with her. She lost 'bout 30 pounds since and it's very noticeable!

Speaking of losing weight:

Over break (which was since Nov,15th), i think i lost 20 pounds, or so the scale says.

What's my secret?

Getting addicted to Eden Eternal (if you play, i'm MilkshakeCreme on diamond server!)
then forgetting to eat, sleep, shower, or take care of myself.

And that means now i cant eat alot at one time, and i got pimples.
on the bright side, i dont have to wiggle in my clothes no more. lol

All i did was eat junk and play video games. But my body is weird when it comes to losing weight, so i really don't reccomend you trying this.

Welp, i feel this post is long enough lol, so i'm going to stop here. LOVE YA CLOUDIES! :D
